140 balls of yarn were sent to 140 people. The participants were asked to supply some information (name, age, place of birth, place of residence, profession) and to work on or with the yarn as they saw fit. The only limitation was that the work had to have something to do with threads. The responses and the description of the 92 balls that came back, after about one year of the project, have become the atlas that is a part of the installation.
